Every CIPD student is expected to uphold and commit to following all the regulations set out by the CIPD Code of Conduct. These obligations apply to members undertaking the CIPD course. This will enable you to take all the steps that may help mitigate the problem to prevent any harm to a business or organization. 
  • CIPD members need to be professional and committed even as they strive to deliver high-quality services. You need to be accurate and meet all the set guidelines. Also, you need to establish some terms of reference even as you ensure that the liability insurance is adequate. 

Ethical Standards and Integrity

Every member of the CIPD needs to:

  • Develop meaningful relationships based on mutual respect and trust. You also need to be confident in the delivery of services to all the stakeholders. 
  • You need to be a role model and uphold integrity even as you practice honesty in all the areas you deliver services. 
  • All CIPD members need to sensitive and respectful to other people’s cultures and beliefs.

  • CIPD members should be responsible when delivering professional services to the members of a given community. 
  • Members must comply with the given laws. You must avoid engaging in unlawful conduct at all times. 
  • As a member of the CIPD, you need to maintain high ethical standards. Strive to be a role model by exhibiting professionalism when delivering services to the members of the community.
  • Avoid conflict of interests at all times. Act on any areas that may come out as a conflict of interest for you to maintain respect and understanding amongst members of the community or organization. 

Stewardship

  • Be fair in the way you treat the people around you.
  • Challenge your juniors to report any unfair treatment in the organization for you to find solutions early enough. Encourage them to report unethical conduct within and outside the organization. 
  • Avoid bias by treating everyone equally. Strive to ensure that you do not judge them unfairly through influence by others. 
  • Work towards achieving unity and understanding amongst your juniors and the people of a community. This makes achieving objectives easy. 
  • Work towards ensuring that your juniors are competent and that they can work under minimum supervision.
